FairWind Group are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Electrical Specialist to work closely with our specialised teams throughout Australia and Asia.This is an exciting role where you will ensure electrical compliance across the APAC region, work in amongst global electrical teams to ensure alignment and compliance to FairWind electrical initiatives.As the successful candidate you will hold applicable licenses in Australia, and ensure timely adherence to local legislation.Among your tasks you will conduct audits, training and recommendations to local electrical teams across the APAC region.You will also be the the point of escalation for electrical matters for all supervisors, installation coordinators and PMs across APACResponsibilitiesResponsible for the electrical works and compliance across APACResponsible for safe & timely execution of global electrical programsParticipate in a site inspection/approvalParticipate in the project's planning, in conjunction with PM, installation coordination (IC) and site manager (SM).
In conjunction with leading hand coordinator front line management, supervision and mentoring of ECC teamsReview of competency of current Technicians against global competency ModelDevelop team to improve capability and quality aligned to Global Competency ModelSupport ECC supervision and leaders develop in their career pathwayCoordinate with the Leading Hand (LH) for every day's work for the electrical crew, in conjunction with IC and site manager (SM).
In conjunction with LH planning all site works according to the given schedule and resourcesBudget Management and reporting – identifying opportunities to increase project marginKeeping costs within budget - reporting the extra costs and time consumption to PMParticipate in meetings – site, project, resource, toolbox and planningSolve all relevant issues and problems, connected to electrical operationsSecure/give the highest level of qualityContinually improving installation hours for ECCOversee ESV requirements for siteOversee COES compliance for siteQualificationsMinimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role within industry at supervisor levelESV Technical License (REC)Front line leadership training, Project management qualification, or other related business qualificationKnowledge of electrical construction standardsExperience with AU/NZ electrical standardsVery good knowledge and understanding of industry demandsGood practical knowledge of HSE and Quality standardsPractical Project planning and management of construction/ installation projects, incl.
