In this role, you will be instrumental in embedding quality engineering practices across the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring our applications perform at the highest standards of reliability, scalability and customer experience.Working within agile squads, you will contribute to both manual and automated testing, strengthen our test frameworks, and collaborate closely with engineers, product owners and stakeholders to deliver innovative and high‐quality digital solutions.Key Responsibilities and What You'll BringDesign, create and maintain high quality test cases using tools such as Jira Zephyr, applying structured testing practices and attention to detailExecute manual and automated testing across frontend and backend systems, ensuring comprehensive end to end coverage and product reliability for customer facing applicationsPerform functional, regression and end to end (E2E) testing,



leveraging strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practicesDevelop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites using modern tools such as Playwright or Cypress, contributing to improved coverage, efficiency and continuous testing in CI/CD pipelinesExperience working with APIs and API testing tools such as REST Assured and Pact (contract testing)Identify, triage and resolve defects, demonstrating strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly articulate customer impact and riskCollaborate with engineers, business analysts and stakeholders to plan and execute test strategies, including risk identification and mitigationCreate and execute test plans, analyse results and troubleshoot issues, including root cause analysis of recurring defectsContribute to documentation such as test guides, knowledge articles and test data strategies to support quality outcomesApply modern quality engineering techniques including BDD practices, coding standards and participation in automation code reviewsStrong communication skills, with experience working in an Agile delivery environmentBring robust stakeholder engagement, agile delivery experience and a proactive, detail oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovationExperience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog desirableWhy Qantas?
