We are seeking a Science Teacher – Biology Specialist to join our Senior School team on a temporary full-time basis for the remainder of the **** school year.
With demonstrated expertise in Biology and the ability to teach Earth and Environmental Science at the senior secondary level, this role calls for strong subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students in Science.
The successful applicant will deliver high-quality teaching, inspire and motivate students, and contribute positively to the wider School community.
The successful applicant will be collaborative, committed and keen to contribute to a positive and collegial Science Department.
They will share ideas, listen to others, take responsibility for their work and reflect on their practice, with a genuine commitment to the learning and development of students.
Availability to commence before 20th September **** is highly desirable to support a smooth handover.

Key Responsibilities
Teach allocated Science classes, with a particular focus on Biology and Earth and Environmental SciencePlan, prepare, and implement engaging programs that meet curriculum requirements and cater to a range of student abilities and learning needsDeliver high-quality practical and theoretical learning experiencesAssess student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain accurate recordsCollaborate with the Science Department and contribute to curriculum planning and developmentContribute to school activities, including pastoral care, events, and meetings, as requiredMaintain professional standards and uphold the School's policies and values
Requirements
NESA accreditation and relevant tertiary qualifications in Science, with a specialisation in BiologyDemonstrated experience teaching Biology at secondary level, including senior secondary BiologyAbility to teach Earth and Environmental ScienceStrong classroom management and communication skillsAbility to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirementsCurrent NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)Full Australian work rightsAbility to commence prior to 20 September **** is highly desirable
