About the role The Registered Nurse delivers safe, high-quality nursing care across a range of healthcare settings,
ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients and their families.
The role is accountable for providing evidence-based care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting health promotion through education and information.
Registered Nurses also contribute to the development of students, colleagues, and other health professionals while continuously building their own clinical knowledge and skills through professional development.
Key duties of the role Assess individual patient-client needs, plan, implement and-or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies.
Participate in quality improvement activities that contribute to patient-client safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.
Provide health promotion and education, to patients-clients or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of individual.
Participate in evaluative research activities and apply evidence-based practice and theoretical knowledge to support continuous improvement and achieve positive patient care outcomes.
Support and mentor less experienced staff, students, and Enrolled Nurses while reviewing their clinical practice.
Skills and Experience Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold,
a current practicing certificate Demonstrated experience in the relevant area of nursing practice.
Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
