About the role
Working as part of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, repair and modification of a range of steel and fabricated components.
You will work from drawings and specifications and take pride in producing quality work to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble structural steel, machinery components and general steelwork
Read and interpret workshop drawings, plans and measurements
Cutting, grinding, drilling and fitting of steel components
Conduct repairs, modifications and maintenance fabrication as required
Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently
Maintain a clean, organised and protected workshop
Work collaboratively with the broader DGH team to meet project deadlines
About you
Relevant trade qualification
Proven workshop fabrication and welding experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, positive and professional attitude
Current driver's licence
