As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded
Management Accountant
to join our Finance team and play a critical role in supporting operational and financial performance within our Australian Entity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, partnering with business leaders, and providing valuable financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for inventory accounting, product costing, management reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will provide timely and accurate financial information that supports business performance while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage month-end processes relating to inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Perform product costing analysis and maintain costing accuracy
Prepare manufacturing variance reporting and provide insightful analysis to senior leadership
Calculate and report warranty provisions in accordance with IFRS requirements
Manage withholding tax reporting and royalty calculations
Prepare monthly management reports, including budget versus actual analysis
Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Assist with new product development costing and business case analysis
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
Support external audit requirements and provide required documentation
Calculate sales commissions accurately and efficiently
Drive process improvements and support best-practice financial management across the business
About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience in a manufacturing or inventory-focused environment.
You enjoy partnering with stakeholders across the business and translating financial data into actionable insights.
Essential Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
CPA qualification or working towards CPA highly regarded
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis
Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and management reports
Strong understanding of IFRS; exposure to US GAAP advantageous
Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Experience with ERP systems, ideally Sage X3
Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving capabilities
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
