$115,000 to $135,000 + super + bonuses + $2,500 PD allowance
Full-time or part-time | Bibra Lake base + metro Perth outreach | WFH report-writing days
Sigma Therapies is starting a speech pathology division, and we are looking for the speech pathologist who will build it.
Not join it, build it.
Sigma is a clinician-led practice in Bibra Lake providing psychology, behaviour support and occupational therapy across Perth.
Our psychologists, behaviour support practitioners and OTs refer speech work out every week because we cannot do it in-house yet.
You would change that.
What you would be walking into
an established practice with admin, systems, software and an office already running
warm referrals from day one: our own NDIS and private clients need communication assessments, AAC, mealtime management and therapy
a multidisciplinary team around you: psychology, behaviour support and OT
a founder-style role without founder-style risk: salaried, supported and resourced while you build
What does not exist yet
A speech team.
You would be the first speech pathologist here.
If you want a big speech department around you from day one, this is not that role.
If you want to shape a service (the clinical approach, the assessment kit, the templates, the caseload mix, and eventually the team) with a practice behind you, it is.
The lead part, concretely
set up the speech service: clinical approach, tools, report templates, processes
build and carry the initial caseload: NDIS and private/self-funded, paeds, adults or a mix, shaped around your strengths
work closely with our behaviour support practitioners, because PBS work constantly needs communication input
help recruit speech pathologists two and three as the division grows,
then lead them
Head of Speech Pathology title and salary review as the division hits its milestones
What you will get
$115,000 to $135,000 + super, plus a bonus structure tied to the division's growth
$2,500 annual PD allowance, plus funded external speech pathology supervision so you are never clinically isolated
WFH days for reports, planning and service building
Kilometre travel paid for all outreach
4 weeks annual leave plus 2 wellness days a year
Laptop, phone, software and templates from day one
Full-time or part-time, with flexibility around FTE
What you will need
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) membership with Speech Pathology Australia, or eligibility
solid NDIS or disability experience (AAC or mealtime management experience is a real advantage)
confidence working autonomously across homes, schools and community settings
strong report writing, because NDIS reports live and die on it
a WA driver's licence and reliable vehicle
NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
You do not need to have led a team before.
You need to be ready to.
