About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer to join our highly regarded CTP team in Newcastle.
The team acts for leading insurers across a broad range of defendant CTP matters, including catastrophic injury claims, complex liability disputes, fraud-related matters and claims involving challenging medical and causation issues.
This role offers exposure to high quality and technically challenging work from the outset.
You will work closely with experienced practitioners who are recognised for their expertise in defendant CTP litigation and claims management, while developing your own file carriage and advocacy skills.
You will assist with the management of litigated matters, prepare strategic advice for insurer clients, participate in conferences, mediations and Personal Injury Commission proceedings, and contribute to achieving exceptional outcomes for clients.
The role is ideal for a lawyer looking to build a long-term career in insurance law within a collaborative, supportive and high-performing team.
About you
Our ideal candidate would be a motivated and commercially minded lawyer who is passionate about insurance litigation and looking to further develop their career in defendant CTP.
We are seeking a Lawyer with:
1-3 years' post-admission experience, preferably including experience in compulsory third party (CTP) insurance
Experience in litigated matters and dispute resolution processes
Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify practical and strategic solutions to legal issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
A collaborative approach to teamwork
A commitment to delivering outstanding client service
