TSPV or TSPA Cleared | Requirements Engineer - Shape Critical Defence Capability

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Requirements Engineer who can lead end-to-end requirements activities across complex projects, work closely with both business and technical stakeholders, and ensure requirements are clearly defined, traceable, prioritised, and aligned to strategic outcomes.

Contract Duration:
Initial 12-month contract to 14 September ****, with 2 x 12-month extension options
Security Clearance Requirement:
Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current TSPV/TSPA clearance.
This position is open to Australian citizens with a valid security clearance due to role requirements.

Essential Tasks:
Plan and lead end-to-end requirements activities across large and complex capability projects
Elicit, analyse, validate, prioritise, and manage business and system requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Facilitate stakeholder engagement, consensus, sign-off, and negotiation of competing priorities and trade-offs
Maintain requirements baselines, govern change, and assess impacts to scope, cost, schedule,



and solution design
Key Criteria:
Demonstrated experience leading requirements engineering activities aligned to REQM Level 5 for complex ICT or capability programs
Strong ability to engage diverse business and technical stakeholders and translate needs into transparent, feasible, and testable requirements
Experience establishing baselines, version control, traceability, and structured change management for requirements
Ability to work effectively in a high-security environment with discretion, sound judgement, and strong stakeholder management skills
