About the Role
A/Prof.
Reynolds Casse is seeking a dedicated, professional and compassionate
Medical Receptionist
to join our specialist neurology practice in Eastwood, SA.
This is a
casual position
that offers flexibility whilst providing essential support to our busy practice.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency of our specialist services and the satisfaction of both patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
· Welcoming patients and managing the reception desk in a friendly and professional manner
· Scheduling, confirming and managing patient appointments
· Processing patient registrations and collecting relevant medical information
· Responding to telephone and email enquiries and directing calls appropriately
· Processing payments and assisting with patient billing enquiries
· Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with privacy requirements
· Coordinating referrals and correspondence with healthcare providers
· Providing patients with information regarding appointments, fees and practice procedures
· Assisting with general administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the practice
· Working collaboratively with medical and administrative staff to provide high-quality patient care
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and genuinely committed to providing excellent patient service.
You will ideally have:
· Previous experience in administration, reception or a similar role
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills




· Strong organisational and time management abilities
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
· A compassionate and patient-focused approach
· Confidence using computers and general office applications
· Experience with medical practice management software, which would be advantageous
· An understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements
· The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
· The flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a busy medical environment
· A positive, collaborative and professional approach to working with patients and colleagues
