About the Role
Parry Street Family Practice is seeking an experienced, friendly and reliable Medical Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our team.
We are a brand new, GP-owned general practice that opened only 3 weeks ago.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning.
As the face of our practice, you will play a key front-of-house role in creating a warm, calming, and professional environment for our patients.
We are looking for someone who enjoys patient interaction, thrives in a dynamic setting, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
Both
part-time and full-time opportunities
are available, with
flexible working arrangements across weekdays
, and the opportunity to be part of our planned Saturday morning roster as the practice grows.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and welcome patients in a professional, warm, and courteous manner
Schedule appointments and manage patient bookings efficiently
Process patient registrations and maintain accurate medical records
Manage incoming phone calls, enquiries, and patient requests
Assist with the organisation and maintenance of administrative systems
Liaise closely with GPs, nurses, and the broader team to support seamless patient care
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and a high level of attention to detail
Provide general administrative support as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration
Experience using Best Practice and/or HotDoc
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills




Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Confidence using computer systems and medical software
A genuine interest in healthcare and patient wellbeing
Flexibility, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
