Baiada Poultry is seeking an experienced and motivated
Broiler Farm Manager
to oversee the day-to-day operations of our broiler farms located in the
Gawler and Northern Adelaide region
.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the Broiler Livestock Department to achieve productivity and performance targets
Manage budget and costs, including reporting and corrective actions
Manage and analyse data in achieving KPI's
Project manage specific activities and projects
Lead and supervise staff including performance management, problem solving and conflict resolution
Provide Operational and strategic direction for broiler farming activities
Coordinate with key stakeholders including farm managers, contractors, veterinarians, feedmill, hatcheries, processing plants and other internal departments
Ensure animal welfare, health, biosecurity and food safety standards are maintained as per company standards
Ensure compliance with company policies, WHS, environmental, quality and Chain of Responsibility requirements
Ensure compliance of company and contract farms with third party standards
Monitor and analyse flock condition including feed, water, temperature and health to maximise performance
Drive continuous improvement and maintain effective stakeholder relationship
Required skills (Must have):
Minimum 5 years' experience in poultry husbandry
Strong animal husbandry and livestock/poultry knowledge
Leadership and staff supervision experience
Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience in managing KPIs, budget and costs
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadline
