Wattle & Wonder Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate
Diploma Qualified Educator
to join our team in Winthrop.
This is a
permanent part-time position with a minimum of 15 hours per week
, working Monday to Friday.
Our centre is open
7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday
, and as a
Responsible Person
, you will be required to participate in rotating opening and closing shifts, including early starts and late finishes.
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality education and care, build positive relationships with children and families, and contribute to a stimulating learning environment that supports each child's individual development.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing high-quality education and care in accordance with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
Acting as the
Responsible Person
and participating in rotating opening and closing shifts
Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and their families
Planning, implementing and documenting engaging learning experiences that reflect children's interests and developmental needs
Supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development through intentional teaching and play-based experiences
Maintaining a safe, clean and inclusive learning environment
Working collaboratively with fellow educators and management to achieve positive outcomes for children
Contributing to observations,
learning documentation and programming
Ensuring compliance with centre policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Acting as a positive role model and contributing to a supportive and cooperative team culture
The successful applicant will have:
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
Minimum 2 years' experience working in an early childhood setting
Experience and confidence in taking on the responsibilities of a
Responsible Person
Availability to work rotating early opening and closing shifts
Current Working With Children Check
Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and Early Years Learning Framework
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
A genuine passion for early childhood education
