Reporting to the HRQT Manager - We're looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer based in our
Kewdale office
.
Manage end-to-end payroll for a workforce of approximately 900 employees, processing
monthly salaried
and
fortnightly wages pay runs
Interpret and apply complex
Enterprise Agreements, modern awards including Coal Award, and remuneration structures
across three Australian states
Ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements including
Fair Work, payroll tax, superannuation, and workers' compensation obligations
Process a variety of payroll components including
allowances, overtime, penalty rates, leave entitlements, and back pays
, in line with contractual agreements and industrial instruments
Partner closely with HR to manage employee lifecycle transactions including
new starters, terminations, redundancies, salary reviews, promotions, and other remuneration changes
Perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting to ensure payroll accuracy and identify discrepancies
Provide expert payroll advice to employees, management, and key stakeholders

Experience and Qualifications:
End-to-end payroll experience within a complex organisation
Experience in Mining or a similar industry is highly regarded
Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
