Communicare is seeking
10 Casual Team Members
to join a casual pool supporting our Men's Behaviour Change Programs, including
Breathing Space
and
Connect and Respect
.
Working within residential, community and custodial settings, you'll support men to address the use of violence and abuse in their relationships through behaviour change interventions, case management, group work and individual support.
Specialist Behaviour Change Facilitator
roles and
Behaviour Change Support Worker
roles are available.
Shifts, including daytime, evening, overnight and weekend are available across all of our Perth locations, in particular our 24/7 residential locations in
Calista
and
Maylands
.
Longer FIFO opportunities are also available at our location in
Hedland
for those that have this flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of men's behaviour change programs.
Facilitate or assist with group sessions and client activities.
Conduct intake assessments and contribute to case management.
Complete risk assessments, safety planning and case notes.
Provide client support, advocacy and referrals.
Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours, crisis situations and emotional distress.
Build effective relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
About You
You are passionate about Family and Domestic Violence prevention and supporting positive behaviour change.
You will have:
Working towards completing or completed a
4-year
qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or a related field, and/or significant relevant experience.
Experience working in FDVA, community services, justice, mental health or a related sector.
Strong communication, engagement and problem-solving skills.
The ability to manage challenging behaviours and work in crisis situations.
Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Current Driver's Licence
Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Department of Justice Clearance (where required)
