JUNIOR PRIMARY TEACHER
Position Details
Francis Jordan Catholic School is a two stream co-educational school catering for boys and girls from Early Learning (Pre-kindy) to Year Six.
We are a modern and well resourced school positioned in Currambine near Joondalup.
The School enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the strong support of the parent community.
Together with a comprehensive academic curriculum, Francis Jordan places strong emphasis on excellence in teaching and learning.
We are seeking an experienced (preferred), suitably qualified, Junior Primary Teacher committed to the pursuit of educational excellence to be part of a progressive and dynamic team.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will:
Curriculum Knowledge and Implementation:
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate the Western Australian Curriculum for pre-primary students, with comprehensive knowledge and application.
Experience integrating Catholic values and teachings into developmentally appropriate learning programs across literacy, numeracy, social-emotional learning, and religious education.
Commitment to Catholic Mission and Community:
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Catholic education principles, values and mission.
Ability to model Catholic values, support students' spiritual development, and actively participate in the religious and community life of the school including ceremonies,
staff prayer, and family engagement activities.
Professional Learning and Compliance:
Commitment to ongoing career development through Catholic Education Western Australia programs, mandatory reporting training, and early childhood education updates.
Current or willingness to obtain religious education accreditation and maintain all required clearances including Working with Children Check.
Assessment, Reporting and Classroom Management:
Proven ability to implement positive behavior support strategies aligned with Catholic education principles, conduct comprehensive student assessments and provide detailed reporting to parents.
Experience documenting student progress in accordance with educational standards and Catholic identity requirements.
Collaboration and Leadership Potential:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, specialist teachers, leadership teams, and school community.
Willingness to contribute to additional school activities such as sports carnivals, fundraising events, sacramental programs.
Qualifications Required
You must hold current teacher registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) and possess an approved four-year teaching qualification with early childhood.
