We have a fleet of over 200 cranes ranging from 3T to ****T, including minicranes, Frannas, all-terrains and crawler cranes.

The Gold Coast branch of Universal Cranes has been serving the local region for over 20 years, earning a strong reputation.
Our Gold Coast based fleet includes 15 mobile cranes up to 250t capacity and a dedicated team of ~ 30 personnel.
About the Role
We are looking for a leader who enjoys building strong teams, supporting people to succeed and creating a positive culture where everyone takes pride in their work.
You will be someone who leads by example, values relationships and is passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes for both customers and your team.
With strong commercial awareness and a practical, hands-on approach, you will play a key role in the ongoing success and growth of our Gold Coast Branch.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will lead the branch team, work closely with customers and ensure the business continues to operate safely, efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing team of office and field personnel.
Foster a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.




Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch to ensure safe, efficient and reliable service delivery.
Build, maintain and strengthen customer relationships while identifying opportunities to grow the branch.
Inspect and assess project opportunities and prepare quotations for crane hire services.
Plan equipment and labour resources to meet customer requirements while maximising fleet utilisation.
Monitor branch performance and financial outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
Ensure the branch achieves its operational and business objectives.
Work collaboratively with other branches and support teams to deliver the best outcomes for customers.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help drive operational excellence across the business.
Ensure fleet availability, compliance and maintenance requirements are effectively managed.
About You
Previous leadership or management experience, preferably within the crane hire industry or related industries.
Minimum 10 years' industry experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory or management role.
A practical understanding of cranes and lifting operations gained through industry experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.




Solid customer relationship and business development skills.
Sound commercial and financial awareness, including experience monitoring business performance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational, planning and time management abilities.
A practical problem solver who can make considered decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience with NetSuite or similar business systems will be highly regarded.
