This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference as part of the Critical Care Social Work Service at Campbelltown Hospital. Working across the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and other critical care areas, you will provide advanced psychosocial assessment, counselling, advocacy, and support to patients and their families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. The role offers the opportunity to exercise high-level clinical judgement, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to a seamless continuum of care that is consumer-centred, evidence-based, and aligned with skilled, ethical, and organisational standards.

Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Worker with advanced clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong psychosocial assessment and intervention capabilities, excellent communication and advocacy skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with consumers, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional integrity, and delivering care within legal and ethical frameworks is essential.

including experience in clinical supervision, mentoring, quality improvement, and service development activities. The ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and contribute positively to a culture that reflects the values of respect, accountability, and excellence will be highly regarded. Flexibility is important, as weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours participation form part of the role. Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

- A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Extensive post graduate experience working as a Social Worker in relevant clinical areas, including a demonstrated understanding of the health setting, complex health conditions and the impact on wellbeing.
- Demonstrated experience in prioritising a challenging and demanding workload; managing stressful situations; and applying advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or critical nature
- Experience working independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills (written and verbal), and demonstrated computer skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision and expert advice/consultation to the social work service and the clinical specialty.
- Demonstrated experience in the planning, implementing, leading and evaluating of quality improvement activities involving the application of evidenced based practice within social work
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
