About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre (AROC). Reporting as part of the AHOC leadership team, you will drive the Centre's growth, sustainability, and impact, overseeing its research, partnerships, programs, and day-to-day operations.

In this role you will work closely with governance committees, funding partners, researchers, and key stakeholders to ensure the Centre delivers on its strategic objectives and funding commitments. You will be responsible for fostering a high-performing and team-oriented culture, strengthening stakeholder relationships and identifying opportunities to enhance the Centre's reputation, influence and contribution to improved health outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead the strategic, operational and financial management of AROC
- Ensure compliance with contractual, governance and regulatory requirements
- Manage key stakeholder and partner relationships
- Oversee workforce, service delivery and organisational performance
- Drive sustainability, growth and new service development

About the Team
The Australasian Health Outcomes Consortium (AHOC) is a research consortium within SMAH reporting through the Graduate School of Medicine, which aims to improve services and outcomes for patients through benchmarking of care and research.

AROC supports more than 270 hospitals and over 300 rehabilitation units across Australia and New Zealand, providing benchmarking, quality improvement, education, research and data services to the rehabilitation sector. AROC is recognised nationally and internationally as a leader in rehabilitation outcomes measurement and has strong partnerships with public health departments, private health providers, the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand, and other key stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

- Senior leadership experience in a health, research or not-for-profit environment.
- Strong understanding of clinical quality registries,



health outcomes or quality improvement programs
- Experience in governance, compliance, risk and financial management
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex programs
- A relevant doctoral qualification, or equivalent leadership experience
- Experience in securing external funding, leading research activities, contributing to scholarly outputs, developing education or training programs, and establishing collaborative research partnerships will be highly regarded

Role Details

- Employment type: Continuing Contingent* | Full-time appointment
- Expected commencement: mid-October 2026
- Level C: $151,746 - $171,141 + 17% Superannuation
- Location: UOW Innovation Campus, Wollongong
- Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
