About the role:

As 1 of our friendly Food Services Assistant, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, skilled and supportive care experience for the residents of our Maroochydore facility. We are located in the heart of Sunshine Coast, which is within walking distance of restaurants and boutiques along Duporth Avenue, the Sunshine Plaza shopping centre, the Maroochy RSL, Maroochydore Rotary Park, and the Maroochy River. Our 130-bed facility is a modern, lifestyle-oriented aged care service located in a master-planned community precinct on Queensland’s famed Sunshine Coast.

Things that work for us:

Ability to work on a permanent part-time basis (or casual basis)

Commitment to cover AM (0700-1400) and/or PM (1400-2000) shifts, Monday to Friday

Previous experience in a similar role assisting in the preparation and serving of meals

Assisting with food service duties including setting tables, cleaning dishes and cleaning

Genuine and professional customer service skills, team player and well presented

Commercial cookery qualifications desirable

An ability to provide a catering and kitchen service that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation

High level of customer service skills

Ability to work on a permanent part time or casual basis

Previous experience in a similar role

Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards

Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities

Current or willing to apply for a NDIS Worker Screening Check
