Wayke Waterproofing is seeking an experienced Waterproofer to join our team full-time, servicing the greater Brisbane and Southeast Queensland region.

This role is suited to an experienced tradesperson who can independently complete full bathroom waterproofing systems in residential construction and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship in accordance with Australian Standards.

Wayke Waterproofing provides professional waterproofing services across Southeast Queensland, working with established builders and maintaining a strong focus on quality, reliability and professional service.

About the Role

You will be responsible for completing waterproofing works independently across residential construction sites, including bathroom and wet-area waterproofing.

We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, takes pride in their workmanship and can consistently complete work to a high standard.

Important: This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' hands-on waterproofing experience.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years' hands-on waterproofing experience on construction sites

- Waterproofing licence preferred, but not essential

- White Card

- Current Driver Licence

- Willingness to complete a Police Check

- Full working rights in Australia

Technical Skills Required

Applicants must have proven experience completing waterproofing systems in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, including:





- NCC Volume Two – Part 10.2

- AS 3740:2021 – Internal Wet Areas

- AS 4654.2–2012 – External Waterproofing

Practical experience must include:

- Reading and interpreting construction plans

- Substrate preparation and surface assessment

- Ensuring correct falls to waste

- Penetration detailing and reinforcement

- Application of primers, membranes and silicone

- Installation of levelled angles and recessed floor wastes
