About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Landscaper to join the team at ELGM GROUP PTY LTD. This is a full time position based in various locations throughout South East Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, and maintaining large-scale landscaping projects for commercial clients. You will work on diverse projects ranging from office parks and shopping centres to industrial facilities and public spaces. This position is integral to delivering high-quality landscaping solutions that enhance our clients' properties and contribute to the company's reputation for excellence in the commercial landscaping sector.

Key responsibilities

- site preparation, grading, and layout planning

- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as excavators, loaders, bobcats, and other machinery

- Install hardscaping features including paving, retaining walls, pathways, and decking

- Plant trees, shrubs, and other vegetation according to design specifications and best practices

- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution

- Perform regular maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, fertilising, and pest management occasionally

- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects meet specifications and deadlines

- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and site requirements

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Commercial Landscaper or in a similar landscaping role within the Gardening and Landscaping industry

- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and landscaping equipment

- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, and vegetation suitable for commercial environments

- Understanding of irrigation systems installation and maintenance

- Ability to read and interpret landscape designs and technical drawings

- Experience with hardscaping installation, including paving, retaining walls,



and outdoor structures

- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites as required

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one

- Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

- Preferred: Horticulture qualifications or equivalent training in landscaping
