About the Role
Master Drilling Australia are seeking trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our onsite Raisebore maintenance team in the Goldfields of Western Australia. Our Maintenance Fitters are responsible for the preventative and breakdown maintenance, servicing, and repair of our Raise bore fleet, as well as the ancillary diesel equipment on-site, ensuring peak performance and minimal downtime is achieved.
This role requires you to have a positive attitude, and most important, a high level of work ethic, sound technical ability and a strong commitment to safety.
Please note: Roster is 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and the role is available for immediate start for the preferred candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance, repairs, and servicing on all Master Drilling Raisebore rigs and ancillary diesel equipment, ensuring downtime is at a minimum
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults (e.g., hydraulic and pneumatic systems) and electrical faults (e.g., wiring, control modules) efficiently and effectively using diagnostic tools and software
- Work remotely on various locations and projects throughout Western Australia
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and operational policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate work orders, service records, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Proactively identify opportunities for ongoing equipment improvement and optimisation.
- Commissioning and decommissioning equipment for project start-ups and completions in the field.
About You
- Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter (Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Automotive)
- Experience working within a live mining setting (Underground)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (hydraulic, pneumatic) and electrical systems (wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, control modules).
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining diesel equipment.
- Experience with welding, and machining work is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as required.
- Good communication skills and the ability to accurately complete work-related documentation is essential.
- A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures.
- Valid Australian manual driver’s licence.

- Must be able to provide a valid National Police Clearance (less than 6months old)
