Your new company

You will be joining a large Queensland Government department responsible for managing one of the state's infrastructure portfolios. As part of the Infrastructure Services Division, you will contribute to a significant business transformation program focused on strengthening asset management practices, improving decision-making, and delivering better outcomes across Queensland's education infrastructure network.

Your new role

As the Principal Program Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-profile transformation program designed to uplift asset management maturity across the department. Working closely with the Asset Management Improvement Program Manager, you will coordinate program activities, support governance and reporting functions, and drive stakeholder engagement and change initiatives across multiple work streams. You will be responsible for:

- Supporting the planning, coordination, delivery and reporting of program initiatives across multiple projects and work streams
- Preparing high-quality briefing notes, reports, presentations, business cases, and strategic advice for senior stakeholders
- Coordinating governance activities including risk registers, action logs, decision registers, status reporting and governance papers
- Reviewing and analysing project and program reporting to ensure information is accurate, outcomes-focused and aligned with strategic objectives
- Supporting risk, issue and dependency management across the program




- Coordinating stakeholder engagement and change management activities to support successful adoption of recent asset management practices
- Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of asset management frameworks, practices and solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex programs or projects within infrastructure, asset management, capital works, or similar environments
- Strong project governance and reporting experience, including development of status reports, dashboards and executive-level reporting
- Experience supporting business transformation, continuous improvement or organisational change initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation
- Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience using data and insights to support decision-making
