The Opportunity
SSI SCHAEFER is growing, with major projects and broader business expansion creating significant workforce requirements across Australia.
We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to join our ANZ HR team and help us find, attract and bring into the business the people we need to support that growth.
This is a broad, hands-on role that goes well beyond filling vacancies. You'll work closely with Hiring Managers, Project Managers and HR to understand what people we need and when we need them, help shape workforce and recruitment plans, and then deliver the recruitment required to make those plans happen.
There's plenty of variety. You'll recruit across engineering and technical specialists, trades, project teams and support roles. Some recruitment will be local, while other requirements will involve international recruitment, employee transfers, visas and relocation.
You'll also contribute to building stronger talent pipelines and future workforce pathways, including apprenticeships and early careers initiatives.
What makes this role interesting?
The breadth.
You'll be involved from the point at which we identify a workforce requirement through to the point at which someone joins the business.
That might mean working with a Project Manager on upcoming workforce needs, finding a difficult-to-source technical specialist, interviewing candidates, coordinating an international transfer or visa, working through relocation arrangements, or helping establish an apprenticeship pathway.
You'll have the opportunity to bring your experience and ideas to how we approach recruitment and workforce planning, while remaining genuinely hands-on in delivering it.
About You
You'll be an experienced Talent Acquisition professional who enjoys both the thinking and the doing.
You'll bring strong end-to-end recruitment experience and be comfortable working across a diverse and sometimes challenging mix of roles. Experience recruiting technical, engineering, construction, trades, project-based or similarly complex positions will be particularly valuable, as will experience supporting high-volume, staged or project-based workforce growth.
You'll know how to build productive relationships with Hiring Managers, understand what they genuinely need and translate that into a practical recruitment approach. You'll also be comfortable sourcing candidates yourself, interviewing, managing competing recruitment priorities and staying close to the detail.
Experience with international recruitment, employee transfers or employment visas would be valuable, but isn't essential. Experience in automation, intralogistics, engineering, construction, manufacturing or another project-based environment would also be highly regarded.
A degree isn't important to us. Your experience, capability and what you can deliver are — as is how you deliver it. We value integrity, respect and a collaborative, practical approach.
The role is hybrid and based at Norwest, with some travel to customer sites and other SSI SCHAEFER locations as required.
Why join us?
