VG Group is a Toowoomba-based equipment company operating two brands — DTE Equipment (vegetation and land management equipment) and Vortec Global (hydroseeders and erosion control equipment, manufactured here in Australia). We're growing fast and need an Operations Coordinator to run the floor.

About the Role

/n

This is an office-based coordination role at the centre of our operation. You'll be the person making sure the right stock arrives, the right products get built in the right order, and the right freight goes out the door on time. You'll lead a small team of 4 assembly and warehouse personnel and report directly to our Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities

/n

Production

/n

Schedule and sequence daily/weekly production against sales demand

/n

Allocate work across the 4 assemblers and manage day-to-day workload and priorities

/n

Monitor build quality and throughput, reporting blockers as they arise

/n

Receiving

/n

Manage non-conformances on receipt (damaged, short, or incorrect items) and follow up with suppliers

/n

Ensure stock is logged into the system accurately and promptly

/n

Warehousing

/n

Own Kanban, stock location, storage standards, and inventory accuracy

/n

Coordinate cyclic counts and stocktakes

/n

Manage consumables and shop stock reordering

/n

Development to Production

/n

Coordinate the handover of new and updated products from engineering into repeatable production runs

/n

Own build documentation, BOMs, and work instructions for the floor

/n

Communicate design-for-manufacture issues from assembly team back to engineering

/n

Dispatch, Delivery & Training Coordination

/n

Book outbound freight and coordinate carriers

/n

Coordinate delivery timing with sales and customers

/n

Health & Safety

/n

Own H&S; compliance for the floor

/n

Key Performance Indicators

/n

/n

- On-time dispatch rate — freight booked and goods shipped against promised delivery dates

/n





- Production schedule adherence — builds completed against the planned weekly schedule

/n

- Inventory accuracy — variance between system stock and physical stocktake counts

/n

- Receiving turnaround — time from goods-in to stock being logged and available

/n

- H&S; compliance — inductions, toolbox talks, and incident/hazard reporting completed on schedule

/n

- Team output — assembler workload allocated and tracked with no avoidable downtime

/n/n

Who You Report To

/n

You'll report to our Operations Director, who sets the standard for process and structure across operations, leads major system improvements, and provides technical advice — your job is to own the day-to-day execution so those standards are actually run to.

What We're Looking For

/n

/n

- Experience coordinating warehouse, production, or logistics operations

/n

- Comfortable leading a small team and holding people accountable

/n

- Strong organisational skills — juggling receiving, scheduling, and dispatch without dropping balls

/n

- Confident with systems (inventory/CRM/ERP) and comfortable being the source of truth for stock and production status

/n

- Health & Safety experience, or willingness to own it

/n

- Manufacturing, equipment, or industrial background highly regarded

/n/n
