Part time Maternity cover role available – 60 hours a fortnight

Holmesglen Private Hospital is looking to employ Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care on a part time basis (maternity leave cover) within the Oncology ward. We currently have two roles available.

The Hospital includes; 147 beds across 5 Wards providing Medical, Surgical and Rehabilitation Services, combined Intensive Care and Coronary Care Unit, Emergency Department, 7 Operating Suites, Catheter Laboratory, Day of Surgery Admission and Day Infusion/Oncology Services.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

Deliver evidence based nursing care

Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team

Ensure patient and staff safety

Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care

Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs

Essential Criteria:

Current Registration with AHPRA

Recent experience in Medical Oncology highly desirable

Competency in chemotherapy administration will be highly regarded

Working with Children check

Commitment to Quality Patient Care

Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Works well independently and within a team

Basic computer skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025" (salaries range between $34.56 and $46.22 per hour).
