Bring Joy to Someone’s Afternoon – Volunteer with Us!

Are you free on weekday afternoons? Join the HammondCare Volunteer Team in Wahroonga and make a real difference in the lives of older people.

We’re currently seeking volunteers who are available between 2pm and 4pm on weekdays, for visits of one hour or more, weekly or fortnightly.

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you’ll provide companionship and meaningful social interaction to residents living in aged care. Whether it’s chatting over a cup of tea, sharing a hobby, enjoying music, or simply spending quiet time together — your presence can brighten someone’s day.

Whatever you enjoy — gardening, art, pets, walking, craft, music, or conversation — there’s someone who would love to share it with you.

If you have time in the afternoon and a heart for helping others, we’d love to welcome you to our volunteer team.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements

18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We’d be happy to discuss your availability for a one-hour (or longer) commitment on a weekly or fortnightly basis, between 2:00-4pm, Monday to Friday.
