Client

A recent ICG client is rapidly scaling its risk capabilities and seeks senior manager and manager level professionals asap in a 6 month contract capacity with an option to move to employment if that suits both parties (and they are generously willing to pay re-location costs if required).

Role

1. Enterprise risk management framework design, embedding and operation

2. Risk assurance frameworks, planning and execution of assurance plans

3. Design, implementation and maintenance of GRC systems and tools

4. Education, training and support to the business in the implementation of risk management, compliance and assurance processes

5. Risk and compliance incident and issues management and advice

6. Embedding risk and compliance activities into the business including risk, compliance and controls self-assessment

Key Deliverables:

- Provide general leverage to the GM Risk (team management, data collection, analysis, recommendation formulation, report development and presentation, implementation, post implementation review and refinement)

- Deliver and develop on-going capabilities in accordance with current and expected regulatory standards and in alignment with the group risk framework and key strategic initiatives

- Work along side a variable team comprising client resources, ICG resources, and interface closely with contracted branded consulting houses (were appropriate)

- Support the identification and delivery of key additional capabilities required to deliver the risk plan

Skills and experience required:

- 3-5 years experience with operational risk, strategic risk, insurance risk and financial risk

- Intimate familiarity with all lines of risk, policy, risk frameworks, risk appetite, risk culture, risk maturity, GRC capability and Board Risk Committee reporting





- Branded consulting firm experience at Senior consultant or manager level welcome but not required.

- Manager or senior manager or above responsibility in a financial services based risk team

- Responsibility for a team of professionals is not required, as all candidates will be expected to get their hands dirty while the team builds

- Experience working with and around branded consulting firm

- Experience reporting to a General Manager Risk and or CRO

Logistics

Start date: As soon as practicable Duration: 6 months – possible extension and conversion to full time employment if desired by both parties

Location: Australia, with interstate travel required

Rate: The daily net rate will be $1,750 Senior Manager, $1,600 Manager

Close date: No later than Friday 2nd February 2024, 12-noon AEST
