An ICG client is looking for a senior expert with significant experience in boardroom governance and best practice in the NFP sector.

Role

The successful accredited professional will conduct an assessment of the current Board-level governance structures and processes for a leading NFP organisation. In addition, they will assess the current Board composition and identify any critical skills deficiencies.

This will involve extensive stakeholder consultation and benchmarking to industry best-practice. The successful professional will then provide recommendations for the Board in relation to skills requirements and any necessary governance or constitutional changes.

Key Deliverables:

- Assessment of current Board governance structures

- Assessment of skills of existing Directors, and any gaps in capability

- Any recommended changes to the constitution or governance processes required to improve the effectiveness of Board-level decision-making and oversight

- Recommended implementation timeframe and approach to implement the recommendations

Skills and experience required:

- Significant experience in Board governance and best practices for the NFP sector

- Sufficient presence and gravitas to facilitate workshops involving a very senior stakeholders with a wide range of opposing views





- Experience of conducting Board capability assessments and benchmarking to best practice

- Experience in implementing improvements in Board-level governance in complex organisations

Logistics

Start date: TBD Mid September Duration: 3 months part time equivalent to 15-20 full days in total

Location: Sydney

Rate: The daily net rate to the consultant – seeking guidance subject to experience indicative range between $1,800-$2,000 + GST
