Join residents as they plant, nurture, and enjoy beautiful cottage gardens — a space filled with colour, calm, and connection. Bring your warmth, enthusiasm, and love of the outdoors as you help guide residents through straightforward gardening activities that spark joy and pride.

Whether you have experience in horticulture or simply a green thumb and a love for nature, your presence will be truly valued.

By spending time in the garden together, you’ll support older residents to stay active, maintain their mobility, and boost their overall wellbeing — all while sharing meaningful moments in the sunshine.

Your impact

Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, both for the people you interact with as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
