We’re looking for a proactive HSE Officer to champion safety across Mazzei Group’s sites and teams. You’ll play a critical role in meeting - and exceeding - compliance obligations, while embedding a culture of care, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you’ll work across our Hawthorn head office and active job sites, partnering closely with site teams, trades and contractors to ensure protected, structured delivery.

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct safety inspections, audits and toolbox talks

- Identify hazards and proactively address unsafe behaviours

- Manage contractor compliance and onboarding

- Support incident investigations and reporting

- Strengthen and improve HSE systems (DS Site, SSMPs, etc.)

- Contribute to ISO accreditation and emergency planning

What You’ll Bring

- Cert IV in WHS (minimum) + White Card

- Construction site experience (Tier 1 or 2 preferred)





- Strong working knowledge of HSE legislation

- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder skills

- Collaborative, self-directed and solutions-focused

- Current driver’s licence
