ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Event Manager to play a key role in the planning and delivery of major sporting, entertainment and other high-profile events at AAMI Park. Working closely with venue tenants, hirers, business partners, emergency services and our event workforce, you will lead the successful delivery of a diverse event portfolio, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Senior Event Manager, you will provide confident operational leadership, with a strong focus on safety and security, risk management and emergency planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the planning and delivery of major sporting, entertainment and high-profile events, including Duty Event Manager and Chief Warden responsibilities when required.
- Lead large event teams and coordinate multiple operational functions, ensuring teams are prepared, supported and clear on their roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and implement event, workforce, customer experience, safety, security and risk management plans and reports, working closely with key stakeholders and emergency services.
- Ensure exceptional experiences for clients, tenants and guests while managing competing priorities and maintaining legislative and safety requirements.
- Contribute to commercial outcomes, operational efficiencies and continuous innovation across event planning and delivery.

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced event professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-profile environments. You bring solid operational expertise,



excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to lead teams and make sound decisions under pressure.

You have:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience planning and delivering events within an arena, major stadium, mixed entertainment environment or similar, with experience across large-scale sporting and/or entertainment events.
- Extensive knowledge of event safety, security and risk management
- Proven people leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage teams and build constructive and effective relationships.
- Excellent planning, organisational, customer service, problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
- A strong understanding of customer needs and drivers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
