At least three years of relevant experience

Must have a trade certificate

Read, write and understand English

Must be able to

- Read technical drawings

- Design and fabricate Sheetmetal products, such as HVAC ducting, cladding including lobster-backs, piping and tubing

- Use bench top tools and equipment

- Use hand tools

- Use Machine tools for ductwork manufacture

- Be able to weld stainless steel ductwork (tig/mig)

- Be able to Stick weld metal (light fabrication)

- Be able to use CNC Vulcan / Camduct for ductwork entry into the computer

- Be able to use a drafting package

- Have basic computer literacy skills

- Take site measures

- Be able to obtain a police clearance / defence clearance

- Be able to pour Polyurethane foam insulation for pipework cladding

Requirements

Below would be an advantage.

- Be able to use the balometer for air balancing

- Understand the SMACNA standards in relation to ductwork manufacture

- Have a forklift licence

- White Card

- Working at heights

- 1st Aid certificate
