Caring Companions Needed at Mealtimes

Bring warmth, patience, and kindness to residents living with dementia by offering gentle company and support during mealtimes. Your presence can turn an everyday moment into something calm, enjoyable, and reassuring for those who need it most.

You’ll sit with residents, share conversation, create a relaxed atmosphere, and help make mealtimes feel safe and comforting. For residents who require full assistance with feeding, we provide all the training and support you need — all you bring is your caring nature and willingness to help.

This is a truly rewarding role where small acts of kindness make a big difference.

While the main tasks are maintenance related, you will have the chance to connect with our residents, providing meaning and purpose to your role.

Requirements

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday for a few hours, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

Ideally you’ll be available during the afternoon between 4-6pm Monday to Friday, we would be happy to discuss a suitable day of the week for your visit.

18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
