Job Description

Apiary assistant- Farm hand (Bendigo Region) We have 8 positions available for dedicated and hard working general labourers to join our commercial bee-keeping team for the upcoming season. Starting late August/early September.

short term role 6-9 months Monday to Friday No prior bee-keeping experience is required, this is an entry level position focused on physical labour, equipment maintenance and extraction support.

You will work very closely with our experienced bee-keepers, making it an excellent opportunity to learn the industry from the ground up. Key responsibilities: Equipment preparation, yard maintenance, honey extraction, field support assisting with lifting and moving hives. Requirements: Physical fitness and agility to meet the requirements of the role,



willing to undertake physically demanding and repetitive work involving close contact with bees.

Non-allergic to bee stings. Reliable, motivated, punctual and able to follow instructions and quickly learn and apply new processes. Capable of working in a team environment .

Afternoon/Evening and some weekend work may be required as needed. What we offer: On the job training, A supportive active outdoor team setting. Successful candidates will be paid an hourly rate, in accordance with the pastoral award with an average but not limited to 38 hours per week.
