About the Role:
The Project Manager is accountable for the safe, compliant, on-time and on-budget delivery of a civil and construction project. The role leads the full project lifecycle from mobilisation and planning through to construction, commercial management, client liaison and close-out while upholding RICH's safety, quality and Indigenous participation commitments.

As the senior site leader, the Project Manager is the primary point of accountability to both the client and the business, balancing program, cost, quality, safety and stakeholder relationships to protect margin and grow the client relationship.

*This position you are required to travel to site frequently which will include a 30% site up lift on your base salary whilst on site*

Key responsibilities:

- Champion a zero-harm culture and ensure all works comply with WHS legislation, the project safety management plan and client HSE requirements.
- Ensure hazard identification, risk assessments, JHAs/SWMS and Take 5s are completed and enforced across the site.
- Lead incident reporting and investigation, drive corrective actions, and maintain environmental compliance including dust, noise, waste and heritage controls.
- Ensure quality is delivered to specification through ITPs, hold/witness points and effective defect management.

Project Delivery & Program:

- Develop and own the project execution plan, construction methodology, program and resourcing strategy.
- Manage site establishment, mobilisation and demobilisation including camp, plant, materials and laydown.
- Direct civil and construction works earthworks, bulk and detailed excavation, drainage, roadworks, concrete structures, services and associated infrastructure.
- Monitor progress against program,



identify slippage early and implement recovery plans to protect milestones and practical completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and plant to maintain productivity and continuity of works.

Commercial & Contract Management:

- Manage the project budget, cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow to deliver on or under budget.
- Administer the head contract and subcontracts, including scope, variations, claims, progress claims and notices in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Identify and manage commercial risk; protect entitlement and margin through accurate records and timely contractual correspondence.
- Review and approve procurement, purchase orders and subcontractor payments within delegated authority.

Stakeholder & Client Management:

- Act as the primary client interface, building trust and a reputation for reliable delivery that supports repeat work.
- Provide accurate, timely project reporting to the client and to RICH leadership.

Leadership & Indigenous Participation:

- Lead, mentor and develop the site team including engineers, supervisors and the project workforce.
- Drive Indigenous employment, training and participation outcomes consistent with RICH's purpose and client procurement commitments.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performing and accountable team culture.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent trade background with substantial project delivery experience).
- Demonstrated experience managing civil and construction projects, ideally in the Pilbara, resources or remote infrastructure environment.
- Proven track record delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Strong commercial and contract administration capability (variations, claims, progress claims, cost control).
- Current WA C-class driver's licence, White Card, and ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.

Desirable:

- Strong experience with P6 software
- Experience delivering works for Tier 1 mining or government clients (e.g. Fortescue, BHP, Water Corporation, Western Power).
- Knowledge of WA civil construction standards,



as specifications and local government approvals.
- First Aid, Senior First Aid or equivalent; supervisory/leadership certifications.
- Experience working alongside Indigenous businesses, communities or participation programs.

Safety - Zero harm: TRIFR within target, full compliance with WHS legislation and client HSE requirements.
Schedule: Project milestones and practical completion delivered on or ahead of program.
Cost & Commercial: Delivery within approved budget; margin protected; variations and claims managed and recovered.
Quality: Works delivered to specification, ITPs closed out, minimal rework and defects.
Client Relationship: Solid client satisfaction supporting repeat work and Tier 1 references.
People & Indigenous Participation: Indigenous employment and participation targets met, team retention, capability uplift.
