Lead BA to drive governance, operating models and BA capability across a major Cyber Uplift Program

Im currently partnering with a large organisation undertaking a significant Cyber Uplift Program and am seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to provide strategic leadership across multiple concurrent cybersecurity initiatives.
This is a highly influential role where you will establish and lead the program's business analysis practice, driving consistency, governance, quality and business outcomes across a complex portfolio of work. You'll work closely with program leaders, cybersecurity specialists, technical delivery teams and senior business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned to organisational objectives and deliver measurable value.
Your new role
As the Lead Business Analyst, you will be responsible for defining and embedding business analysis standards, methodologies and governance practices across the program while leading a team of business analysts supporting multiple streams of work.
You will play a key role in shaping future-state operating models, business capabilities, business processes and requirements that underpin the organisation's cyber maturity and risk reduction objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead business analysis activities across a large and complex Cyber Uplift Program.
- Establish and maintain business analysis frameworks, standards, governance and best practices.
- Provide oversight of business requirements, ensuring quality, consistency, traceability and alignment to strategic objectives.
- Lead business capability modelling, future-state operating model design and process improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support business analysts working across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Coordinate analysis activities, priorities and resource planning across the program.
- Partner with executives, cyber specialists, delivery teams and business stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
- Support business readiness, operational transition and benefits realisation activities.




- Continuously improve the organisation's business analysis capability and delivery outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
You are a senior business analysis leader who thrives in complex transformation environments and has a proven track record of establishing governance, standards and best practices across large-scale programs.You will bring:

- Extensive experience leading business analysis activities within large transformation programs.
- Demonstrated experience providing governance and assurance across business analysis functions.
- Strong experience leading and mentoring Business Analysts across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Expertise in business capability modelling, business process architecture and future-state operating model design.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic business decisions.
- Experience working across both business and technical delivery teams.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity, information security or cyber uplift initiatives.
- Experience working within complex portfolio or enterprise transformation environments.
- Strong understanding of business architecture principles and capability-based planning.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
- Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.
- IIBA certifications include CBAP, CCBA or ECBA.
