The role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Counter Sales Associate to join our team at B R construction supplies' in Torrensville, SA. This full-time role is responsible for providing excellent customer service and sales support to our valued trade customers.

Key responsibilities

1. Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance at the trade counter

2. Process customer orders, returns and exchanges in a timely and accurate manner

3. Maintain awareness of our product range and inventory to recommend suitable options

4. Stock and merchandise the trade counter area to ensure it is well-presented

5. Assist with receiving and checking deliveries as needed

6. Proactively upsell and cross-sell products to increase customer spend

7. Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues as required

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a trade counter or retail sales role, preferably within the building/construction industry, but not essential.

2.



Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills

3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace and multitask effectively

4. Sound product knowledge and a passion for providing solutions to customers

5. Confidence in operating point-of-sale systems and handling cash transactions

6. A positive, helpful and collaborative approach to working in a team
