Your Role

We are seeking experienced and motivated Chefs and Cooks to contribute to our kitchen operations. These roles are hands-on and integral to ensuring the smooth delivery of quality meals in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. If you have a passion for food and a drive for excellence, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and manage ordering of food supplies
2. Monitor the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation
3. Discuss food preparation and kitchen operations with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen/wait staff
4. Demonstrate techniques and advise team members on cooking procedures
5. Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary requirements
6. Ensure all hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards are strictly followed
7. Examine food items to ensure freshness and quality
8. Regulate cooking equipment temperatures (ovens,



grills, etc.) for optimal results
9. Season food during cooking and finish dishes with appropriate garnishes and accompaniments
10. Portion and plate meals to specification
11. Store food in temperature-controlled environments per safety guidelines
12. Prepare food for special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, vegan, gluten-free)
13. May be responsible for freezing and preserving food items
14. May train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices

What We’re Looking For

1. Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or in a similar culinary role
2. Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food safety standards
3. Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
5. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
6. Culinary qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) desirable
