Introduction
Life at Steadfast
Steadfast is built on a simple belief: none of us are as good as all of us. It shapes how we work, how we support our brokers and partners, and how we show up for each other every day.
Our Together values guide everything we do, we listen, we collaborate, we include, and we back each other to succeed. As Australia’s largest general insurance broker network, we help businesses and communities feel supported, protected and confident in the moments that matter. When you join Steadfast, you become part of a team where your ideas are welcomed, your wellbeing matters, and your growth is genuinely encouraged.
Your new role at Steadfast
We are looking for a Business Services Administrator who enjoys supporting others, creating clarity, improving systems and building strong working relationships. You will bring curiosity, care and a collaborative mindset to your work, helping our Business Services function deliver consistent, organised and scalable support to our broker network.
You will work closely with the Business Services team, brokers, partners and internal stakeholders to coordinate workflows, maintain documentation, support reporting inputs and help improve the experience of those engaging with Business Services. You will bring strong administrative capability and just as importantly, your ability to listen, collaborate and create an environment where people feel comfortable sharing ideas and raising challenges early. That is how we live our Together values.
What your days may look like
You may start your morning checking in with the Business Services team, reviewing priorities, updating trackers and getting across any broker requests, meetings or follow-up actions that need attention. You might be coordinating workshops, preparing agendas or helping ensure the right information is ready for a broker-facing forum.
By midday, you could be deep in workflow coordination, reporting inputs or stakeholder conversations, turning moving parts into clear actions and helping the team stay organised. In the afternoon, you might be supporting brokers, partners or internal stakeholders with system access, communications, records management or materials for an upcoming learning session or advisory matter.
No two days look the same, but every day you will be contributing to work that has real impact across our network and the communities we support.
The work you will lead and shape
You’ll have the opportunity to:
• Create: Build and maintain practical tools, trackers,
templates and documentation that strengthen how Business Services operates.
• Collaborate: Bring together brokers, partners and internal stakeholders to support transparent communication, follow-up and service delivery.
• Deliver: Coordinate key pieces of administrative and operational work, ensuring actions are tracked, records are accurate and deadlines are met.
• Support: Provide guidance, coordination and practical assistance to brokers and internal stakeholders engaging with Business Services.
• Improve: Identify opportunities to make administrative processes, systems and workflows more consistent, efficient and scalable.
You may also:
• Develop and maintain service catalogues, process documentation, workflow guides and reference materials.
• Maintain systems, registers, trackers, user access records and Business Services documentation.
• Build trusted relationships with brokers, partners and internal stakeholders through professional, responsive and consistent support.
• Support system enhancements, testing, user training and cross-functional uplift initiatives.
• Prepare agendas, meeting records, broker communications, reporting inputs, dashboards and performance summaries using the information provided.
What You will Bring
• Experience in an administrative, coordination or business support role, with confidence working across systems, registers, trackers and documentation.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with a service-oriented approach to broker and stakeholder support.
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to identify opportunities to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Experience supporting shared services, enablement or skilled services teams would be advantageous.
• Exposure to financial services, insurance or network-based organisations would be desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in business administration or equivalent experience would be well regarded.
If you are not sure you meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply, we value potential and diverse experiences.
