The Home and Location: The Ormsby is a modern large 136 Bed Residential Aged Care Home located in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.

The Role

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will provide assistance to our residents ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices. These include:

- Assistance with residence mobility needs, including manual handling.

- Assistance at mealtimes as required by the resident such as food and drink preparation and feeding if required.

- Encouraging to engage in various social activities

- Assistance with their personal care needs, maintaining hygiene, toileting and personal care such as dressing, grooming and oral care.

To be successful in this role we require you to have the following skills experience & attributes

- Experience in aged care role highly regarded.

- Understanding of person-centred care

- Strong, clear verbal and written English skills

- Collaborative approach to teamwork

- Willingness to take direction and follow instructions / compliance

- A Confident, friendly and professional approach to team and residents

Compliance requirements





- Certificate III Individual Support or similar with the relevant aged care units completed.

- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)

- Be willing to Complete a police check
