About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced MR Driver to join our established delivery team. This role involves multi-drop deliveries of steel products to residential construction sites across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
This is a physically demanding role with early starts, regular driving in high-volume traffic, and deliveries to logistically challenging sites. It will suit someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. An immediate start is available for a suitable candidate following a successful interview process.
On-the-job training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop deliveries to residential construction sites
- Safely load, secure, and unload steel products
- Operate vehicles in accordance with road safety and company procedures
- Use vehicle-mounted cranes where required
- Complete delivery paperwork and communicate with customers and internal teams
- Maintain high safety and compliance standards at all times
About you
- Current MR Licence
- Construction Induction (White Card), or willingness to obtain
- Experience in multi-drop delivery work (preferred)
- Dogging Licence, or willingness to undertake training
- Strong driving history and safety record
- Good knowledge of Melbourne and surrounding regions
- Experience operating a vehicle-mounted crane (advantageous)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve
- Solid understanding of safety requirements relating to heavy vehicles, load restraint, and unloading
