About the role

Action Pumps & Irrigation is seeking a Pump Repairs and Shop Hand to join our team in Leongatha, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You will be responsible for assisting with pump repairs, maintenance, and providing essential support across our workshop and shop environment. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in delivering quality service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with the repair and maintenance of pumps and pump equipment following technical specifications

- Support onsite staff with plumbing and pipe works

- Perform routine cleaning, testing and quality checks on repaired equipment

- Manage workshop organisation, keeping tools, equipment and work areas tidy and safe

- Stock shelves and maintain inventory of parts and products in the shop

- Assist customers with product selection and provide basic technical advice

- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used and time spent on jobs

- Comply with all health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working workplace

- Support the team with general administrative and operational tasks as required

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly

- Mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in pumps and pumping systems

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

- Strong organisational and time management skills

- Reliable, punctual and a team player with a positive attitude





- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills on the job

- Basic numeracy and literacy skills

- A current Australian driver's license is required

- Previous workshop or retail experience is advantageous but not essential
