Due to internal promotions, we are looking for a fulltime Warehousing Storeperson to join our team based in South Nowra.
About the role:
As our Warehouse Storeperson, you will be a key part of the team that keeps our manufacturing and distribution operations running efficiently. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will receive and organise inbound materials, manage warehouse stock, and prepare customer orders for dispatch. You'll play a critical role in ensuring products are handled safely, accurately, and in compliance with transport regulations and customer expectations.
This is a fulltime role working Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 5.30am to 2pm (38 hrs per week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Checking and receiving incoming raw materials and packaging from couriers and storing them into the appropriate location
- Ensure stored goods are segregated in line with ADG requirements
- Ensuring all damaged incoming raw materials and packaging are reported to Purchasing
- Receipting raw materials and packaging into ERP software completing associated paperwork.
- Pick stock and load trucks for external deliveries
- Ensure inbound and outbound vehicle comply with ADG placarding laws, CoR and load restraint requirements
- Ensure drivers entering site have completed induction requirements
- General warehouse duties (cleaning, stock checking, cyclic stock takes and others)
- Practicing safe and correct manual handling procedures
- Transport finished goods between Nowchem sites in South Nowra
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Forklift License (Essential)
- Minimum Class C licence (essential)
- Ability to lift up to 25kg on a routine basis
- Positive level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Storage & Handling Regulations.
- Basic computer skills in software packages
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proven experience in a similar role and a willingness to learn new skills
- Good attention to detail
- Experience working safely while handling hazardous and dangerous chemicals
