Working as part of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, repair and modification of a range of steel and fabricated components. You will work from drawings and specifications and take pride in producing quality work to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel, machinery components and general steelwork
- Read and interpret workshop drawings, plans and measurements
- Cutting, grinding, drilling and fitting of steel components
- Conduct repairs, modifications and maintenance fabrication as required
- Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop
- Work collaboratively with the broader DGH team to meet project deadlines
About you
- Relevant trade qualification
- Proven workshop fabrication and welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Positive understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
