HammondCare’s Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like setting.

About The Role

In this role you will provide care for our clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages.

Hourly Rates: $31.95 to $35.44- P/H + penalties

Shifts include: (You must be able to do a mix of below)

7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift21.30- 07.45- Night shift

Responsibilities

Provide personal care including grooming and hygieneDeliver care in accordance with individual care plansSupport and care for guests during overnight or extended staysPromote guest dignity and independence through daily activitiesMaintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally

About You

Available to work across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sitesyou’re a people-person who is patient and solutions-focusedyou have previous experience in aged or community care, or are looking to start your career in aged careyou have a valid Driver’s Licence and access to an insured, reliable carideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can helpFirst Aid certificate desirableEmpathy and compassion are a mustGood administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphoneA strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
