Your Opportunity:
This will suit you if you're a payroll professional with an interest in systems and making improvements as well managing a team and leading a function to its full potential, all with the full support of an experienced Payroll Manager.

It's an environment in which you will be constantly learning rather than just doing the same straightforward processing every fortnight.
You'll manage a team of 8 and have complete oversight of the end-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll for a workforce of over 14000 employees.
This is site based with flexible start / finish and parking available.
Your Role:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and support a team payroll officer to deliver accurate and timely payroll services
- Coordinate team workloads to ensure all payroll deadlines are met
- End to end payroll process for over 14,000 employees and labour-hire workers
- Review and approve complex payroll calculations, including overpayments
- Ensure employee payroll records and documentation remain accurate
- Resolve escalated payroll enquiries, discrepancies and complex issues
- Introduce process improvements that strengthen efficiency, compliance and service delivery
- Assist with payroll system upgrades, testing and implementation
- Keep payroll procedures and process documents up to date
- Support team recruitment, onboarding, training and performance development
- Build a team culture centred on accountability, improvement and excellent customer service
You are:
- Previous experience managing end-to-end payroll in a senior payroll capacity
- SAP experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance and reporting obligations
- Experience interpreting Awards, EBAs or complex employment agreements
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels
- A hands-on approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves when required
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- ERP experience
