Wattle & Wonder Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma Qualified Educator to join our team in Winthrop.
This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 15 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. Our centre is open 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and as a Responsible Person, you will be required to participate in rotating opening and closing shifts, including early starts and late finishes.
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality education and care, build positive relationships with children and families, and contribute to a stimulating learning environment that supports each child's individual development.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing high-quality education and care in accordance with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
- Acting as the Responsible Person and participating in rotating opening and closing shifts
- Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and their families
- Planning, implementing and documenting engaging learning experiences that reflect children's interests and developmental needs
- Supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development through intentional teaching and play-based experiences
- Maintaining a safe, clean and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with fellow educators and management to achieve positive outcomes for children
- Contributing to observations,
learning documentation and programming
- Ensuring compliance with centre policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Acting as a positive role model and contributing to a supportive and collaborative team culture
The successful applicant will have:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in an early childhood setting
- Experience and confidence in taking on the responsibilities of a Responsible Person
- Availability to work rotating early opening and closing shifts
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and Early Years Learning Framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A genuine passion for early childhood education
