Operations Area Manager - Work for a Major Online Retailer!

We are on the hunt for an experienced Operations Area Manager to join our client, the World's largest online retailer, at their Jandakot Customer Fulfillment Centre .

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or large-scale Retail Manager who loves leading people, improving processes and delivering results in a high-volume environment.

The Role:

- As an Operations Area Manager, you will take ownership of a key area within the Fulfillment Centre, which may include Receive, Stow, Pick, Pack or Ship.
- You will be responsible for:
- Leading and developing a team of Operations Section Managers and their direct reports
- Coaching, mentoring and motivating your team to achieve operational goals
- Maintaining high Health and Safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture onsite
- Developing performance goals and objectives to ensure customer expectations are met
- Reviewing work forecasts and determining daily production requirements
- Collaborating with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and Human Resources
- Partnering with the wider management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
- Identifying operational challenges, analysing root causes and driving process improvements
- Managing performance and ensuring your team remains engaged,



productive and focused on results

This is a 12-month fixed term contract , reviewed every 3 months.

You will work a 4 days on, 3 days off roster , which will include at least one weekend day.

The Person:

- We are looking for someone who is:
- A natural leader who knows how to motivate and develop people
- Customer focused and results driven
- Experienced within Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or large-scale Retail Management
- Experienced in directly managing employees and their performance
- Comfortable leading sizable teams in a fast-paced setting
- A strong problem solver with excellent analytical skills
- Confident diving deep into operational issues and finding practical solutions
- An excellent verbal and written communicator
- Experienced in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve performance
